Summary
The FDA is evaluating the results of a Danish study that concluded there is a possible increased risk of miscarriage with the use of oral fluconazole for yeast infections. Until the review is complete, the US FDA advises cautious prescribing of oral fluconazole in pregnancy.

The study which was previously reported was a nationwide cohort study in Denmark, which found the use of oral fluconazole in pregnancy was associated with a statistically significant increased risk of spontaneous abortion compared to unexposed women and women with topical azole exposure in pregnancy.
