Review (25 RCTs; n= 18101 with heart failure with preserved left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction, defined using an LV ejection fraction ≥40%,) reported that all-cause was reduced with beta-blockers vs placebo (RR: 0.78, 95%CI 0.65 to 0.94, p=0.008).

No effect seen with ACE inhibitors, aldosterone receptor blockers, mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists and other drug classes, compared with placebo.
