In high-income countries, the estimated yearly incidence of RSV-associated acute lower respiratory infection was 66.1 (3.2 severe) per 1000 children aged 0-5 months and 35.6 (3 severe) per 1000 children aged 0-59 months. The hospital admission rate was 26.3 per 1000 children aged 0-5 months, 11.3 per 1000 children aged 6-11 months, and 1.4 per 1000 children aged 12-59 months.
