Summary
Review of 17 trials (n=55,163) found decrease in stroke (rate ratio 0.54; 95% CI, 0.29-1.00) and MI (0.68; 0.47-1.00) with systolic BP <120mmHg (vs. <160mmHg). It suggests on-treatment systolic BP <130mmHg achieved optimal balance between efficacy and safety.
