Fried-food consumption and risk of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality: a meta-analysis of observational studies
Meta-analysis (17 studies; n=562,445) found fried-food consumption may increase risk of CVD; in comparing highest with lowest intake, RRs (95% CIs) were 1.28 (1.15-1.43) for major CV events and 1.22 (1.07-1.40) for CHD, however findings limited by high heterogeneity of studies.
