Gastric cancer

This Lancet seminar reviews incidence, risk factors, diagnosis and treatment options for gastric cancer. Resection is considered the mainstay of treatment, but adjuvant chemotherapy is usually required, with use sequential chemotherapy and targeted therapies in advanced disease.
