Glycaemic status during pregnancy and longitudinal measures of fetal growth in a multi-racial US population: a prospective cohort study

This US study of pregnant women without major chronic conditions (n=2458) found gestational diabetes (GD; developed in 4.4%) was associated with a larger foetal size starting at week 20 and becoming significant at week 28. The authors suggest earlier screening is required.
