Health-Status Outcomes with Invasive or Conservative Care in Coronary Disease

RCT (n=4617) reports patients assigned to the invasive strategy had greater improvement in angina-related health status than those assigned to conservative medical management (mainly observed in those patients who had angina at baseline vs those who did not).

SPS commentary:

In a related editorial, authors note that important advances have occurred in both strategies, leading to equipoise as to which approach is preferable for patients with stable ischaemic heart disease.
