Heterogeneous trends in burden of heart disease mortality by subtypes in the United States, 1999-2018: observational analysis of vital statistics

This research found the proportion of total heart disease deaths from 1999-2018 due to ischaemic heart disease decreased, while that due to heart failure and hypertensive heart disease increased, and these account for the largest black-white disparities in their population.
