HIV infection and COVID-19 death: a population-based cohort analysis of UK primary care data and linked national death registrations within the OpenSAFELY platform

Study (n=17,282,905) found those with HIV had higher risk of COVID-19 death vs non-HIV after adjusting for age/sex (HR; 2.90; 95% CI 1.96–4.30; p<0.0001) with high risk even after adjusting for deprivation, ethnicity, smoking and obesity (2.59; 1.74–3.84; p<0.0001).
