Hypertonic saline versus other intracranial pressure–lowering agents for people with acute traumatic brain injury

This review (6 trials; n=287) only identified trials comparing hypertonic saline with mannitol +/- glycerol, with weak evidence to suggest it is no better than mannitol in terms of efficacy and safety in the long‐term management of acute traumatic brain injury.
