Ibuprofen for the treatment of patent ductus arteriosus in preterm or low birth weight (or both) infants

Review (39 studies; n=2843) found Ibuprofen as effective as indomethacin in closing a patent ductus arteriosus with reduced risk of necrotising enterocolitis and transient renal insufficiency; therefore, ibuprofen appears to be the drug of choice.
