Improvement of ejection fraction and mortality in ischaemic heart failure

Analysis of the STICH study (n=618) found that improvement of left ventricular ejection fraction ≥10% was uncommon and did not differ between patients assigned to CABG and medical therapy or medical therapy alone and was independently associated with reduced mortality.
