Improving the quality of bowel preparation through an app for inpatients undergoing colonoscopy: A randomized controlled trial

RCT (n=293) found that educational material delivered via a smartphone app significant improved the rate of adequate bowel preparation vs verbal and written instructions (77.2% vs. 56.8%, p <0.001). The adenoma detection rate was also higher with the app (21.4% vs 12.8%, p=0.029)
