Inotropic agents and vasodilator strategies for the treatment of cardiogenic shock or low cardiac output syndrome

Review of 19 studies (n=2,385) found no convincing data (owing to high risk of bias and imprecision) supporting any specific inotropic or vasodilating therapy to reduce mortality in haemodynamically unstable patients with cardiogenic shock or low cardiac output syndrome.
