Investigational 15-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (V114) shows promise in children

The NEU-DIRECTION trial found the immune responses in children treated with a 4-dose PCV13 series and in those treated with a mixed dose schedule of PCV13 followed by V114 were comparable. In the PNEU-PLAN trial, a catch-up regimen was considered comparable to PCV13.
