Iron preparations for women of reproductive age with iron deficiency anaemia in pregnancy (FRIDA): a systematic review and network meta-analysis
This systematic review (53 trials, n=9145) found iron preparations for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia in pregnancy vary in effectiveness, with good evidence of benefit for IV iron sucrose and some evidence for IV ferric carboxymaltose compared to oral ferrous sulphate.
