Is there an association between long-term antibiotics for acne and subsequent infection sequelae and antimicrobial resistance? A systematic review

Only 5 studies were identified, 3 of which had ≤35 participants and 3 had a ‘serious’/‘high’ risk of bias, highlighting lack of high-quality evidence. There was weak evidence for link between antibiotic use for acne and subsequent increased rates of upper RTIs and pharyngitis.
