Legislation to allow pharmacists to supply controlled drugs without prescription to be introduced during COVID-19 pandemic

Emergency legislation would allow use in limited circumstances. The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs supported the measure, but recommended that pharmacists be issued with national-level guidance on its implementation.
