Liberal Versus Restrictive Red Blood Cell Transfusion Thresholds in Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation: A Randomized, Open Label, Phase III, Noninferiority Trial

RCT (n=300) reports in patients undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT), use of a restrictive red blood cell transfusion strategy threshold of 70g/L was as effective as threshold of 90g/L and resulted in similar HRQOL and HCT clinical outcomes with fewer transfusions.
