Management of Coronary Disease in Patients with Advanced Kidney Disease

RCT (n=777) reports no difference in primary outcome (composite of death or nonfatal MI) between those undergoing revascularisation via an invasive strategy vs those managed medically: estimated 3-year event rate, 36.4% vs. 36.7%; HR 1.01; 95% CI, 0.79 to 1.29; P=0.95)

SPS commentary:

In a related editorial, authors note that important advances have occurred in both strategies, leading to equipoise as to which approach is preferable for patients with stable ischaemic heart disease.
