MHRA and National Fire Chiefs Council launch new campaign to raise awareness of fire risk and precautions that need to be taken by users of skin creams

Since 2010, >50 deaths and serious injuries have been linked to use of emollient skin creams. A review found those most at risk tend to be >60, smokers & have reduced mobility. Labelling & product information for emollients has included warnings about fire hazards since 2018.
