Misuse of benzodiazepines: Prevalence and impact in an inpatient population with psychiatric disorders

This single centre cohort study (n=511; psychiatric hospital) found benzodiazepine use was highly prevalent (89%). Almost a third of treatments were associated with at least one misuse criterion, some of which were associated with a higher frequency of adverse events.
