National PGD templates for iodinated contrast agents - updated

SPS have, with the support of the Royal College of Radiologists and the Society and College of Radiographers, published updated iodinated contrast PGD templates. These are valid for use from the 1st Jan 2022 and replace the templates due to expire on the 31 Dec 2021.

SPS commentary:

PGD templates have been developed with reference to national expertise and through an established programme.  The PGD templates may require local adaptation to reflect local policies or commissioning arrangements. Where locally adaptation is required, this is highlighted in blue.

Specific PGDs are:

  • Ioversol (Optiray®)
  • Iodixanol (Visipaque®)
  • Iohexol (Omnipaque®)
  • Iopamidol (Niopam®)
  • Iomerprol (Iomeron®)
