NICE publishes additional resources to support implementation of guidance on digitally enabled therapies for adults with anxiety disorders (HTE9) or depression (HTE8)

NICE has developed tools and resources to help organisations put this guidance into practice, including an evidence generation plan, which gives further information on the prioritised evidence gaps and outcomes, ongoing studies and potential real-world data sources.

SPS commentary:

NICE's assessment of digitally enabled therapies for adults with depression (HTE8) and anxiety (HTE9) recommends that more evidence is generated while the stated technologies are being used in the NHS. These technologies can be used once they have Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) approval and an NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression digitally enabled therapies assessment from NHS England.

The implementation plans outline the evidence gaps and what real-world data needs to be collated for a NICE review of the technologies again in the future.
