NICE publishes draft guidance on management of acne vulgaris for consultation

This DRAFT guideline covers management of acne vulgaris in primary and specialist care. It includes recommendations on topical and oral treatments (including antibiotics and retinoids), treatment using physical modalities and management of acne-related scarring.

SPS commentary:

NICE is aware that the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is undertaking a review of isotretinoin.  When the findings of this review are available it will consider the impact on recommendations and update the guidance as necessary.
