NIHR Alert: New research supports the move to raise the blood pressure target for frail older people
Expert commentary is provided on a prospective study that found BP <130/80 was associated with excess mortality in pts ≥75yrs. It concludes that further research is required as the study did not address cause of death or impact of comorbidities on mortality rates.
