Omega‐3 fatty acids for the primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease

Review of 86 RCTs (n=162,796) found that increasing long‐chain omega‐3 consumption slightly reduces risk of coronary heart disease mortality & events, & reduces triglycerides. Increasing alpha‐linolenic acid consumption slightly reduces risk of cardiovascular events & arrhythmia.
