Outcomes of Clostridioides difficile infection in adult cancer and non-cancer patients hospitalised in a tertiary hospital: a prospective cohort study

Study found older age (OR 1.04; p<0.001), ICU stay (2.61; p=0.003), mechanical ventilation (5.19; p<0.001) and use of antibiotics prior to infection (OR 1.04; p=0.02), but not presence or type of cancer, predicted all-cause 30-day mortality in cancer vs non-cancer patients.
