Pandemic peak SARS-CoV-2 infection and seroconversion rates in London frontline health-care workers

This correspondence describes the results of a prospective cohort study (SAFWR) that found 44% of 200 high-risk frontline healthcare workers in an acute NHS trust in London had evidence of SARS-CoV-2 infection at any time point (25% at entry, 45% after 1 month).

SPS commentary:

Of the 42 workers who tested positive by RT-PCR (nasopharyngeal swabs), 38% did not report any symptoms within 7 days of the positive test.
