Paravertebral anaesthesia with or without sedation versus general anaesthesia for women undergoing breast cancer surgery

Review of 9 RCTs (n=614) found moderate‐certain evidence that paravertebral anaesthesia probably reduces postoperative nausea and vomiting, hospital stay, postoperative pain (at 2 hours), time to ambulation and results in greater patient satisfaction on first postop day vs GA.
