Peaks in number of young people prescribed antidepressants coincide with lockdowns

Data obtained by the Pharmaceutical Journal shows 26% steady increase in number of patients aged ≤17 years prescribed antidepressants, dispensed in primary care settings, between April 2015 and April 2020, with peaks corresponding approximately to the pandemic lockdown periods.
