Periods of altered risk for non-fatal drug overdose: a self-controlled case series
This Canadian study (n=4149) found incidence of non-fatal overdose was higher when being dispensed opioids for pain (after ≥4 weeks) or benzodiazepines and from 3 weeks after discontinuing antipsychotics, and was reduced during use of medications for opioid use disorder.
