Perioperative antibiotics for preventing post‐surgical site infections in solid organ transplant recipients

Current evidence (8 studies; n=718) is too limited to determine the overall effectiveness of prophylactic perioperative antibiotics in transplantation. Further high quality, adequately powered RCTs are required to better inform clinical practice.
