Positive data for Nasitrol (algae-derived nasal spray) for reducing COVID infection among ICU staff

Use of this nasal spray, based on iota carrageenan (a sulfate polysaccharide synthesised by red algae with reported antiviral activity) reduced the rate of COVID-19 infection at 21 days vs placebo (1.0% vs 5.0%) in a study in 394 healthcare professionals across 8 hospital ICUs.
