Primary Care Interventions for Prevention and Cessation of Tobacco Use in Children and Adolescents: US Preventive Services Task Force Recommendation Statement

A grade B recommendation advises clinicians to provide education or brief counselling to prevent initiation of tobacco use among school-aged children and adolescents. There is insufficient evidence supporting interventions for cessation of tobacco use in this population.
