NIHR Alert: Psychiatric drugs given to children and adolescents have been ranked in order of safety

Expert commentary is provided for a metareview which found escitalopram and fluoxetine to be the safest and venlafaxine to be the least safe drugs. These findings show that for some drugs, very little is known about safety, while others have been more extensively studied.
