Analysis of vitamin D prescription data (2008‐2018) found an increase from 11.8 to 54.2% in prescriptions of licensed vitamin D preparations in 2018. However, 40% of all prescriptions were still of unlicensed preparations and content varied widely from labelled claim (80-150%).
