Randomized Trial of Closed-Loop Control in Children with Type 1 Diabetes

In 16-week (n=101), glucose level was in target range for greater percentage of time with closed-loop system (artificial pancreas) than with sensor-augmented insulin pump (increased from 53±17% at baseline to 67±10% vs. 51±16% to 55±13%, equivalent to 2.6 hours/day; p<0.001).
