Section 4.4 advises “Opioids can cause sleep-related breathing disorders including central sleep apnoea (CSA) and sleep-related hypoxaemia (risk of CSA increased in dose-dependent fashion). In patients who present with CSA, consider decreasing the total opioid dosage.”
