Risk minimisation materials for Kymriah (tisagenlecleucel)

The patient educational leaflet discusses the manufacture of tisagenlecleucel, the use of bridging therapy, possible side-effects (including cytokine release syndrome and neurological events), and monitoring /possible hospitalisation. A Patient Alert Card is also available.

There is training material for pharmacies, cell labs and infusion centres on the steps for reception, storage, handling and preparation for infusion. There is additionally healthcare professional training material covering reasons to delay treatment, the risks and management of cytokine release syndrome and neurological events, the provision of patient/guardian education and registry and adverse event reporting.
