Sanofi charged in France with failing to adequately warn pregnant women that Depakine (sodium valproate) carries risk of birth defects

Prosecutors have issued indictment for aggravated deception and unintentional injuries after a 3-year investigation initiated by an organisation representing families of victims. The move does not necessarily mean that a trial will go ahead as the charges could yet be dropped.
