SARS-CoV2: should inhibitors of the renin–angiotensin system be withdrawn in patients with COVID-19?

In this viewpoint, authors discuss the renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system (RAAS) and the SARS-CoV2 interaction. Authors describe the diverse roles of the RAAS, which also allows to formulate the hypothesis that inhibition of the RAAS might be protective in COVID-19.
