Sclerotherapy versus sham or no intervention for primary prophylaxis of oesophageal variceal bleeding in children with chronic liver disease or portal vein thrombosis
Only 1 RCT identified (n=108 Brazilian children) of ethanolamine oleate 2% vs. no intervention which was considered at high risk of bias thus it is very uncertain whether sclerotherapy has influence on mortality & if it may decrease first upper GI or oesophageal variceal bleeding
