Sequential Combination of Pharmacotherapy and Psychotherapy in Major Depressive Disorder: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

This review (17 RCTs; n=2,283) found the sequential use of psychotherapy following response to acute-phase pharmacotherapy was associated with a reduced risk of major depressive disorder relapse/recurrence compared to control conditions (RR 0.84; 95% CI 0.74-0.94).
