Seroprevalence and humoral immune durability of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in Wuhan, China: a longitudinal, population-level, cross-sectional study
This study (n=9542) found a seroprevalence of 6.92% (95% CI 6.41–7.43); over 80% of this population were asymptomatic, and 39.8% developed neutralising antibodies. The results suggest most individuals remain susceptible to Covid-19 infection after the first wave in Wuhan.

SPS commentary:
A related Comment notes that the relative paucity of neutralising antibodies through natural infection observed in this study reinforces the need for effective COVID-19 vaccines in the population-level control of the disease. The results suggest that herd immunity will likely not develop after natural transmission in settings where infection control mechanisms are successfully introduced.
