Sex differences in type and occurrence of adverse reactions to opioid analgesics: a retrospective cohort study

Review of medical records (n=8457 of whom 449 reported ADR in RIGHT Study) noted more women (6.5%) than men (3.4%) reported ADR to ≥1 opioid (OR 2.3; 95% CI 1.8-2.8, p<0.001); women were also more likely to report ADRs to tramadol & oxycodone, GI, skin and nervous system issues
