Sex, Permanent Drug Discontinuation, and Study Retention in Clinical Trials

Review of 11 RCTs (135,879 men, 51,812 women) found women were 22% more likely to prematurely discontinue study drug and withdraw consent. Authors conclude future trials should better capture reasons for drug discontinuation and withdrawal of consent.
