Shionogi launches novel antibiotic Fetcroja (cefiderocol) in the UK for treatment of infections caused by aerobic Gram-negative bacteria in adults

Cefiderocol, a siderophore cephalosporin antibiotic, is now available in UK, the first country to launch drug in EU. Approval was based on data from clinical studies in complicated UTI, nosocomial pneumonia & critically ill patients with confirmed carbapenem-resistant infection.
