Sixth national summary report for NHS Benchmarking Network’s Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation project finds almost a third of hospitals report ‘complete outages’ of medicines during COVID-19 pandemic

Data from 98 NHS trusts in England showed that some trusts experienced shortages of first-line critical care medicines, atracurium, cistracurium, and propofol. Other drugs listed as being in short supply included noradrenaline, fentanyl, lorazepam and midazolam.
